SnubbAir
It began as a response to a J/70 deck layout challenge. Where it goes from here is anyone’s guess.
The SnubbAir can replace winches. But in other applications it could act more like a really large ratcheting foot or cheek block or even a ratcheting line diverter in the pit. The SnubbAir provides lots of line-holding power even without a winch handle. That muscle could become very popular on an A Scow or a powered-up sport boat where the spinnakers can be more than a handful. Even better, you can just flip the sheet off the drum and jibe. If you need even more holding power, wrap the sheet around the SnubbAir twice or use a winch handle with the optional adapter.
75 mm Power3 Ratchet Blocks
For Black, Titanium, or Silver Regatta Days
Is the wind steady and strong? Breeze-on with puffs? Or is the air light to medium? Power3 ratchet blocks have one-design sailors covered with three holding-power options that best suit the day’s wind and wave conditions. More ratchet choices allow sailors to fine-tune their set-ups in tandem with the purchase that provides the ideal level of power, responsiveness, and grip. Now available in 75 mm.
Element Stand-Up Blocks
These stand-up blocks are an addition to our Element line. Use them for sheeting and halyard systems, running backstays, controls and other applications where you don’t want the block to hit the deck. The Element line combines a proven bearing system with the strength of forged aluminum sculpted to protect the fiber-reinforced nylon sheave. The result is a contemporary, economical, and extraordinarily durable block.
Fly Blocks
Strength without Mass
A 40 mm block has been added to the line of 18 mm and 29 Fly™ mm blocks. Harken high-load Fly blocks were developed specifically for use with today’s small diameter high-tech line. Efficient, and with an incredible working load for their small size, Fly blocks give sailors the power they need and are perfect for use on foiling dinghies and sportboats and for vang cascades and backstay systems on Grand Prix racers. Their weight savings alone promises an instant uptick in racing performance.
Protexit™ Exit Blocks
When you race HARD, and you rip through as many hoists and douses as we do sailing W-L legs all the time, you should expect to start wearing through the sideplates of your halyard exit block right? Wrong! Thanks to Harken Protexit™ blocks, wear from side angle loading is not inevitable. Protexit’s all-aluminum, wear-resistant housing carefully ushers line in and out no matter the angle. There’s more: Protexit blocks offer higher working loads than any small boat exit blocks we’ve ever made. Protexit aluminum sheaves rotate on sleeve bearings with Delrin® sideload balls so they don’t deform in extreme conditions, while reducing wear on the halyard, too.
HTE Ratchamatic Blocks
Enhanced version of Carbo® Ratchamatic® block released
This new Carbo Ratchamatic HTE (High-Threshold Engage) 57 mm block features a spring that is 20% stiffer to delay the point where the ratchet engages, allowing the block to run free more of the time. This was done in response to requests from sailors who wanted their spinnaker sheets to stay free running longer before the ratchet function engages, allowing for crisper jibes.
Air Winches 550 & 600
Harken Air winches feature a set of interchangeable gearing kits that give skippers the flexibility to create a perfect blend of speed and power for each day’s weather and crew configuration. The winches, which feature a nearly empty middle to reduce weight, were designed for trimming sails on AC foiling cats, IMOCA 60s, AC75s, TP52s and similar Grand Prix boats. Now in more sizes. The 550 and 600 models are designed for boats up to 24.4 m (80').
Reflex Forked Fittings for Retrofit Cables
The forked fittings extend the benefits of Reflex to retrofit existing asymmetrical or Code Zero sails with cables. Harken’s Reflex accessories are a game changer making handling asymmetric sails easy so sailors can use them more often, even when short-handed. Furling has never been this simple.
40 mm T-Track Switch Battcar System
Harken announces the addition of the 40 mm Switch T-Track Battcar System to the current inventory of Battcar systems. It joins the 18, 26, 32 and 50 mm sizes and is used for monohulls over 43 m (140') and multihulls over 27 m (90'). The additional option offers variety for customers based on specific mainsail deployment needs.
Reflex for Cable-less Code Zero Sails
Reflex furling requires much less luff tension to transfer torque than earlier technology, making it the perfect solution for today’s budding cable-less code sail technology which requires about half the luff loads previously required.
CLR Mooring Winches
Harken® CLR™ Mooring Winch Wins DAME - Design Category Award
The Harken® CLR™ mooring winch is a flush-stowing, deck-mounted powered winch for both sail and power yachts featuring geometry and mechanical characteristics never before seen. No other retracting, flush-mounted winch has offered the power-for-size ratio offered by the CLR. It stows completely belowdeck and occupies 40% less horizontal and less than 50% of the vertical space required by the previous market leaders. The CLR weighs just 33% of its competition while delivering comparable mechanical advantage.
Deck Organizers
Harken deck organizers lead halyards and control lines aft, allowing crew to sail from the security of the cockpit. The injection-molded composite top plate provides superior impact and UV resistance. Asymmetrical sheaves of glass-filled nylon have flared bases to lift lines up and off the deck, and combine with a proven bearing system to reduce friction.
Lead Rings and Floating Jib Leads
Harken has introduced smaller sized lead rings. The 5 and 6 mm rings join their larger siblings, as well as a new floating jib lead ring. Harken lead rings are simple weight-saving devices used to route line for in-haulers, twings, barberhaulers, Lazy Jacks, cascading backstays and other applications requiring minimal fine-tune adjustments. Rings are Hard Lube-anodized 6061-T6 aluminum for a smooth, slippery surface.

GP Catamaran Ceramic Mainsheet System
Easily Assembled into 10:1, 11:1, 12:1 Configurations
Harken’s Grand-Prix mainsheet systems are critically important options for high-performance beachcats like the Nacra 17 or F18s. The high-efficiency blocks making up these systems feature insert-molded ceramic bearings that almost eliminate rolling resistance, greatly improving power transfer to the crew for easy, precise trimming.
C-Tech Pintle Battcars
Harken now offers an option that allows C-Tech batten receptacles to be used with our Battcar systems. The pintles have shoulders that protect the threads from bending, making them more robust. They are available for System CB B and C, and T-Track Switch 18, 26, and 32 mm sizes.
Replacement Traveler Kits
Harken Replacement Kits Make Traveler Upgrades Easy
Replacing a traveler can seem a daunting task. The question of what kind and size of unit to select and all the purchase/rigging options can make any sailor’s head spin. Harken replacement traveler kits are an easy way to restore (or exceed) a boat’s traveler performance by taking the guesswork out of picking the right parts. Now sailors only need to buy a Harken kit, the appropriate length of indicated track, the correct fasteners, and they’re done! It’s that simple!
FlatWinder™ Powered Block for Mainsheet Traveler Control
Sailors will go sailing more often
The Harken FlatWinder™ powered block is a low-profile, self-contained electrically-powered system for mainsheet traveler adjustment on monohulls 15 – 18 m (50 – 60′) and catamarans 14 – 15 m (45 – 50′) The captive line arrangement offers sailors the means to control a loaded main quickly and accurately, significantly reducing the need to use the mainsheet winch to trim the sail. The FlatWinder can work alone or as part of the Easy Sailing System. It is available in 12 or 24V depending on the yacht’s electrical system.
V Blocks
Harken Adds 5T Wide and 8T to Grand-Prix V™ Block Line

The unit conserves space with a smaller footprint and requires only half as many wires with the elimination of a standalone load controller. Dual-Function Control Boxes will come with electric Radial Line®, Performa™, and Rewind™ winches. Load controllers were previously sold as an optional upgrade to protect hardware from overload.
Carbon Fiber Spinnaker Retrieval System
Harken Develops Spinnaker Retrieval Wheel for Last-Second String Drops
Harken has designed a new carbon fiber spinnaker retrieval wheel to fill an underserved need in the Grand-Prix market. The design is for ultra-fast "string drops" where a wheel connected to the pedestal system pulls the spinnaker into the hull instead of having a team stuff it down the hatch. The string drop lets teams get a few extra seconds of speed from the spinnaker, sometimes letting them delay takedown until mid-rounding.
10 cc Rotary Pump
Harken Introduces Lightweight 10 cc Model of its Grand-Prix Hydraulic Pumps
Adding to its competition-tested 20 cc pumps, Harken has expanded its high-efficiency rotary pumps with a new 10 cc version. The 2-speed pedestal-driven pumps are designed to deliver oil faster, more efficiently, and with higher shift points for Grand-Prix race boats 13.7 - 30.5 m (45 - 100'). The 10 cc pump has a maximum pressure of 7,500 psi and the 20 cc up to 10,000. Pumps shift from 1st to 2nd gear both automatically and manually, with automatic shift points determined by the maximum output of the grinders. If fewer crew are grinding, and not enough power is generated to reach the automatic shift point, both pumps can be shifted manually.
32 mm Big Boat CB Outhaul Cars
Now with captive ball bearings (CB)
Use furling outhaul cars with in-mast or behind-the-mast furlers on boats up to 13.5 m (45 ft). Sheave carriers pivot side-to-side to accommodate changing lead angles. Systems have 2:1 purchase and ride on cars with Torlon® ball bearings. A deadend outhaul shackle is included. Cars have axle-bearing sheaves.
18 mm Tight-Cinching T2 Soft-Attach Block
Like all T2 blocks, the 18 mm 2161 block is lashed or spliced through the load-bearing center of the block, decreasing the loads on the sideplates and acting as a safety backup for the system. Use the 2161 “tight cinching” 18 mm in applications where the block needs to be secured extremely close to the deck.
40 mm ESP Teardrop Block
Our Cruising ESP teardrop block is now available in a smaller size. Cruising ESP blocks complement our Black Magic blocks in looks and function, but are simpler in design and construction. Sheaves feature sleeve bearings to handle high static loads.

Carbo Air blocks are 60% stronger and 30% lighter than our Classic blocks. The high-load 57 mm Carbo block has a broad working range. Use for main and jib sheets on centerboard and keelboats like Lightnings, Dragons, Solings, and J/24s, and for mainsheet systems on catamarans.
2163 40 mm Carbo Cheek Block with Becket
Carbo Air blocks are 60% stronger and 30% lighter than our Classic blocks. Use the 40 mm Carbo block for jib and mainsheet systems on high-performance dinghies and for loaded control lines on small keelboats.
15STA Radial Winch
All the same details you love from our Radial line winches now in a smaller size. Shaped gripping surface that does not depend on friction to hold line reduces line wear. Winch top is covered so fingers and clothing don't get caught in moving parts. Seasonal maintenance is now exceptionally easy—the top lifts out as a single unit, making reassembly quick and mistake-free.
Grand Prix Jib Leads
Strong aluminum jib leads deflect jib sheets to winches, preventing overrides. These jib leads have two small drilled holes through which a loop can be spliced to attach the hobble. This temporarily secures the jib/genoa clew to free-up a winch for mark roundings.
Bolt-Down Fairleads
Harken Bolt-Down Fairleads are used as shallow-angle line deflectors on boats 6 to 15 m (20 to 50 ft). These weight-saving fairleads are built of 6061-T6 Hard Lube-anodized aluminum for durability. Smooth surfaces and radiused center holes minimize line wear.
Crossbow™ Pivoting Self-Tacking Jib System
Brings Grand Prix Technology to Sport Racers
The pivoting track technology Harken developed for Grand Prix yachts now comes in a smaller package; the new Crossbow™ Self-Tacking Jib System fits high-performance dinghies, skiffs, and catamarans under six meters (20 feet). With a hinged curved track that aligns to the load, this system reduces friction and increases load capacity for an ultra-lightweight design.
