Update from Dave Evans and Ed Powys'

 'Till next time, Lagos

We are all done in Lagos, Portugal after 2 fantastic training camps out on the Atlantic coast. The weather delivered 16 days of great conditions with a bit of everything to keep us on our toes. Especially the last day, which was one of the best sails we have had ever!  Big, long, rolling waves kicked up for some hair-raising rides downwind.

We decided to head to to Lagos to get range of conditions to make sure we go into the racing  season well rounded and confident in whatever the weather throws at us. Most of the time we were managing two sessions on the water, with a mix of speed work and boat handling. Then off the  water there was plenty of boat work to prepare the boats for racing and finally fit in our gym      sessions too!  All in all we were getting our heads down and working hard, but it was all worth it with some good gains made by each team, a lot learned and a lot of fun had along the way.

Our technical coach, Derek was not just about helping us go faster through the water, he was keeping us on our toes off the water too, with morning fitness sessions to get us revved up and ready for action. We even got in the freezing cold pool for an ‘ice bath’ or 'man test', whatever you want to call it, after a big day of boat handling.  Even managed to coax the coaches in there too!

Now finished in Lagos, all our kit is on its way to Palma ready for the Princess Sofia World Cup  regatta at the start of April. We have one final training camp coming up out there to focus on racing decisions and quantify all of our winters hard work against other teams.  Right now we are all   chilling out, hitting the gym and doing any admin that was probably supposed to be done weeks ago. Then at the weekend Dave and Ed will be at the RYA Dinghy show up in London, making an appearance for the British Sailing Team.

We have some huge competitions to be announced soon, courtesy of Silverline tools, that we are really excited about, so keep a look out on twitter and facebook for more details.  All we will say is that there are some MASSIVE prizes to be won!

Huge thanks to all of our sponsors for the continued support!
