The J/105 is a family racer/cruiser that combines a simple sailplan, clean deck layout and practical interior, with enough get up and go to suit the most avid competitor. Clocked at sustained speeds of over 14 knots, this maneuverable one-design keelboat features cockpit control at its best: asymmetrical pole-launched chute, double-spreader fractional rig, big main and roller-furling jib.
The J/105 is optimized for shorthanded sailing, can be raced with three or four, or easily cruised by two.
It was selected as Boat of the Year in the racer/cruiser category by Sailing World magazine.
gross-trim, fine-tune mainsheet
This split cascading system runs the powerful fine-tune aft allowing the helmsman to easily optimize
sail shape on a light air beat. The fast gross-trim function leads forward to the mainsail trimmer
providing quick release during mark roundings. In heavy air, crew handles both gross-trim and fine-tune
systems from mid-boat, allowing the skipper to concentrate on steering.
Install this system on your boat using existing hardware with minimal add-ons:
144 swivel base and adapter plate.
